The Department of Neurology, Divisions of General Neurology and Multiple Sclerosis (MS) are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II with a minimum of two years of experience in human subjects research. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of clinical trial studies conducted by the Neuromuscular Division. The coordinator ensures that all required regulatory documentation is accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner for all research and clinical trial activities. These activities include, but are not limited to, new submissions, continuing reviews, and protocol revisions submitted through the University of Florida Health Professions IRB and a central IRB. The successful candidate will: Manage all regulatory operations for clinical trials conducted by the Neuromuscular Division, while also assisting with other research studies as needed Ensure all required regulatory documentation is accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner, including new submissions, continuing reviews, and protocol revisions through the University of Florida Regulatory IRB and a central IRB Obtain informed consent from study participants and ensure compliance with study protocols Perform research-related clinical tasks, which may include: Screening participants Administering questionnaires Performing EKGs Drawing blood and preparing biological specimens for analysis Conducting standardized cognitive and motor tests Enter data accurately into databases, source binders, and case report forms (CRFs), and report all adverse events Communicate with study sponsors and coordinate monitoring visits Promote and support clinical research initiatives within the Department of Neurology and the College of Medicine Train new investigators, fellows, and staff on MS division–specific protocols and regulatory requirements Participate in patient, community, and healthcare provider education, including giving presentations and seminars Be present and actively engaged in the MS clinic to assist with study screening and participant recruitment Collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary research team, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic research environment.
