Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Quality Management, or Healthcare Quality.
• At least 3 years of experience in clinical operations, healthcare project management, quality or safety, or regulatory readiness.
• Experience in surgical or procedural services.
• Clinical background with knowledge of patient-care workflows, safety, and operational risks.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Project-management, communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
• Superior communication, organization, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams, including frontline operations, physicians, management, and technical and financial staff.
• Exceptional skills in collaborative software such as SharePoint.

• Master of Business Administration, master's degree in Health Care Management or Nursing, Master of Health Care Administration (MHA), or a master's degree in a related field.
• Clinical licensure or professional certification.
• Experience with accreditation, operational readiness, emergency or downtime planning, or clinical technology and infrastructure projects.
• Lean improvement, performance-improvement, change-management, or project-management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead performance excellence initiatives, including data analysis, performance improvement, and lean activities.
• Research effective patient-management and perioperative and procedural operations models; design programs that address patient and provider needs, improve care quality, and support appropriate use of healthcare resources.
• Lead clinical transition and operational readiness for new services, construction, technology, equipment, infrastructure changes, and major events.
• Coordinate short- and long-term departmental clinical projects through research, planning and design, implementation, stabilization, evaluation, and transition to operational ownership.
• Facilitate project planning meetings and create and update project schedules.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, risks, dependencies, and escalation pathways.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary groups, including quality, safety, regulatory, IT, facilities, and biomed, on patient-safety and environment-of-care issues.
• Provide process facilitation and analytical support to perioperative and procedural areas.
• Maintain project-tracking tools and summaries and report project progress and risks to senior management.
• Coordinate regulatory, accreditation, emergency preparedness, downtime, disaster recovery, and business-continuity initiatives.
• Collaborate with external partners to implement evidence-based quality-improvement practices that improve patient processes and outcomes.
• Coordinate timelines with internal and external stakeholders and use communication, collaboration, and risk-mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
• Champion quality and performance-improvement efforts within Perioperative and Procedural Services.
• Document performance-improvement initiatives and quality processes using the PDSA method.
• Set priorities and oversee department-specific performance-improvement initiatives based on current performance, regulatory requirements, and institutional and national initiatives.
• Follow up on and evaluate changes to ensure conformance and continued achievement of goals.
• Document activities and prepare feedback reports communicating project findings and activities to collaborators and other involved parties.
• Participate in data collection to improve system and clinical outcomes at the unit, department, and hospital levels.
• Apply change theory and effective techniques to support successful project implementation and education.
• Use unit, department, and hospital goals to guide project coordination and seek solutions to departmental needs and initiatives.
• Perform the professional, clinical, or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
