Requirements
- Requires travel up to 100% of the time.
- Must have own reliable transportation, good driving record, and car insurance.
- Valid Dental Hygiene or Registered Dental Hygiene License
- Valid Independent Certification and/or License to practice independently
Responsibilities
- Focus on quality patient care
- Flexible scheduling, we work around your availability
- Patients seen on-site, in a treatment room located within the facility
- Rewarding work with great compensation
- Conduct thorough oral health assessments, including for signs of oral diseases and abnormalities. Acts as an autonomous clinician responsible for comprehensive oral hygiene assessments.
- Perform dental cleanings, including removing plaque, calculus, and stains from teeth.
- Apply preventative treatments like fluoride applications and sealants.
- Educate patients and families on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing and dietary recommendations.
- Take digital dental x-rays as needed.
- Accurate and timely updates to patient records including documenting treatments and observations.
- Assist Dentist during exams and procedures as needed.
- Assist with patient transportation.
- Communicate effectively with all patients, family members, providers, faculty, and staff.
- Provide timely responses to patient inquiries; document conversations in the EMR.
