About The Position

Ecolab, the global leader in premium cleaning, sanitizing and maintenance products and services for the hospitality, institutional and industrial markets is seeking a Chemical Operator I. This role is responsible for packaging chemicals by following applicable instructions and current standard operating procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a chemical or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with pumps, read meters, basic Quality Control data and to track packaging checklist and quality information (mix logs, batch adjustments, etc.)
  • Experience with performing basic Quality Control tests (take samples, perform pH tests)
  • Ability to read and match numbers on shipping records, labels, raw materials and finished goods
  • No Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunity

Responsibilities

  • Review daily packaging schedules and ensures the materials required are available
  • Follow packaging instructions and accurately pack out the correct materials to the correct containers using pumps, hoses, meters, and scales.
  • Perform routine observation of product during the packaging process to ensure zero defect material quality.
  • Report any out-of-spec material and consults with Quality personnel on any batch adjustments.
  • Properly cleans out all equipment when completed.
  • Proper housekeeping maintaining safe and clean workspace.
  • Operate fork trucks, palletizers, scales, pumps and other material handling equipment to transport finished product
  • Perform building and equipment preventative maintenance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
