About The Position

The Production Operator performs general production and/or warehouse operator functions and assigned duties at Sun Chemical’s Muskegon, Michigan location. The role includes blending and packing materials, staging products for drying, moving dried materials for further processing, and monitoring product quality. The operator follows standardized work instructions, operates equipment and power industrial trucks safely, performs inspections and routine or incidental maintenance, and completes required paperwork to ensure product identification and traceability. The position requires the ability to work a variety of shifts, including 12-hour day or night shifts on a four-days-on/four-days-off schedule, or first- or third-shift hours.

Requirements

One to three years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
Respirator qualification, including meeting OSHA fit-testing and medical-clearance requirements.
Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds.
Ability to work a variety of shifts.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED; alternatively, pass a pre-employment screening assessment.
