About The Position

Novonesis is hiring a Production Operator in its Food Recovery Department. Production Operators set up, monitor, and maintain equipment and processes in an industrial biotechnology factory. The factory uses microbes to produce BioSolutions, including enzymes made through fermentation, and proteins used as food ingredients. These products support industries such as food, household care, animal nutrition, and biofuels.

The role is responsible for supporting the safety, quality, and compliance of production processes. The position works 12-hour shifts that alternate between days and nights every two weeks, following a 2-2-3 rotation. Overtime is frequently available. Operators participate in a mandatory certification program, with promotion opportunities to Operator II and Senior Operator.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient computer literacy.
• Ability to move around the factory and outdoor surroundings, including pushing, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to manually manipulate and operate equipment and tools, including turning valves and aligning hoses.
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment, including a uniform, hard hat, eye protection, ear protection, hair net, beard net, and respirator.
• Ability to climb stairs and work at heights, including on ladders, platforms, and tanks.
• Ability to enter and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to pass a written test for certification purposes.

• Three or more years of industrial manufacturing experience preferred.
