About The Position
This position is for a Baker Sous Chef in the Chef department. The role involves providing leadership and direction in the bake shop while completing production. Key responsibilities include reviewing production needs, managing inventory, requisitioning food items, ensuring kitchen cleanliness, and maintaining production by delegating duties, monitoring work pace, and assisting other workers.
Requirements
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction in the bake shop while completing production
- Review the guarantee sheet and event orders to complete a production list and adjust counts as needed
- Inventory existing product in the shop and complete a food requisition form according to current house count and par levels
- Inspect the kitchen for overall cleanliness
- Delegate duties from the production list to workers in the station
- Monitor the work pace of the station in keeping with the volume of business
- Answer questions, assist in production, or demonstrate and review techniques or recipes to other workers
