About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program accredited or approved by the Washington Department of Health.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Current Medical Assistant certification issued by the Washington State Department of Health. Status may be approved, interim (subject to passing the required state-approved examination within 12 months or less of issuance), or pending (acceptable for the first 30 days of the position only).

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in health care in an outpatient clinic; experience specific to the type of clinic is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical tasks in an OMP outpatient clinic.
• Provide clerical tasks in an OMP outpatient clinic.
• Provide administrative tasks in an OMP outpatient clinic.
• Perform duties consistent with Medical Assistant education, training, experience, and certification under the supervision and direction of a provider or Medical Office Nurse Coordinator.
