About The Position
The Certified Medical Assistant reports to the Outpatient Clinic Manager and, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized, patient-centered approach to care and achieve desired outcomes. The position is with the Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) in the CHS - Surgery - Maxillofacial cost center. It is an hourly employee position with 40 scheduled weekly hours and a day shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
- At least six months of CMA/RMA experience.
- Certification through AMT, AAMA, NHA, MedCA as a CCMA/CMA, NAHP, or NCCT.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Ability to meet the physical, sensory, and functional demands described in the job posting, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and working with patients.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
