About The Position
Suit-Kote Corporation, a leading Asphalt products manufacturer, road construction and maintenance and asphalt application engineering company is seeking candidates for a Metro Micro CDL Driver. All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Strong work ethic
- Physical Organization and time management
- Flexibility in hours - overtime, overnights and weekend hours may be necessary
- Working knowledge of general hand tools and power tools
- CDL A or B required
- Able to operate trucks in excess of 80,000lbs safely
- Ability to do minor maintenance and grease trucks
- Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conducted
- Consent to a DMV license evaluation
- Must have or be willing to obtain an OSHA 10 Hour Safety Certificate
Nice To Haves
- Experience with a live bottom trailers a plus
- Ability to read and understand SDS
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic math skills
Responsibilities
- Operation of equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulation
- Assists in loading and unloading truck manually, if needed.
- Follow verbal and written instructions
- Varying types of work including: digging, flagging, concrete work
- Ability to operate a loader
- Basic troubleshooting
