About The Position

Ryder is hiring a solo Class A CDL truck driver based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to deliver commercial and residential garage doors across 48 states. Drivers earn weekly pay, with advertised earnings of $1,950 or more per week. Compensation includes $0.70 per solo mile for 2,000–2,500 miles per week and $30.01 per solo stop for 8–10 stops per week. The role also offers a quarterly safety bonus and a sign-on bonus paid in installments, as well as paid training. Drivers operate sleeper tractors equipped with APUs and dry van and Conestoga trailers. Trailer experience is preferred. Freight requires strapping and hand unloading. Drivers must obtain a passport within 90 days of hire. A person and/or pet may accompany the driver on the road. Trucks are described as well-maintained, safe, and 36 months or newer, with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling available at more than 800 nationwide maintenance locations. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Pass a Ryder drug test.
Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.
Pass a DOT physical.
Pass a Ryder road test.
Provide the appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
Have verifiable Class A experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years.
Be able to follow written and/or oral instructions.
Be able to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
Obtain a passport within 90 days of hire.
Complete any additional screening required for an assignment, which may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, road test, or customer badging or background requirements.
