About The Position

As a CDL Class B Truck Driver, you will operate a waste hauling truck to provide residential trash and recycling pickup. You will lift and carry residential waste and deposit it into a compactor throughout your route. The ideal candidate stays attentive to safety, reports any defects, accidents, or violations, and inspects vehicles for mechanical and safety issues along the way. If you're happiest out on the road instead of behind a desk, this role is built for you.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class B driving experience required.
- CDL Class A or B required.
- No more than one moving violation on MVR within the last 3 years.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Safely operates a waste hauling truck within approximately 150 miles of home.
- Completes daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Complies with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods, etc.) as well as company policies and procedures.
- Maneuvers trucks into loading or unloading positions.
- Lifts and carries residential waste and deposits it into a compactor.
- Inspects vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and reports preventative maintenance needs to the management team.
- Reports any defects, accidents, or violations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
