Alden House is a 5-bed, 24/7 Residential program for Young Adults aged 18-25 who have significant functional deficits due to mental illness and/or significant trauma. The program's goal is to teach clients the skills necessary for successful transition to a lower level of care in the community. These skills include daily living, social and recreational, time management, interpersonal, conflict resolution, coping, and symptom management. The Residential Counselor is primarily responsible for engaging with clients and teaching these skills. The Program Director and Residential Supervisor provide hands-on support and guidance, and are available 24/7. Staff utilize creative and fun methods to engage Young Adults. This position offers the opportunity to work with clients during challenging life stages and witness their growth. The small client-to-staff ratio allows for strong relationship development and a greater impact. This role can serve as a foundation in the mental health field for professional growth. A supportive team environment and collaborative approach are emphasized. Company vehicles are available on-site for client transportation.
