About The Position

The Ascendancy Group is seeking a Personnel Specialist to support the Naval Special Warfare Command Mission Support Center. In this role, you will operate under the direct supervision of the Administration Officer and Personnel Clerk. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining personnel records, processing staff personnel data, and coordinating administrative tasks related to human resources. This position requires an adjudicated SECRET clearance at the time of appointment.

Requirements

  • Must possess adjudicated SECRET clearance at time of appointment.
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license.
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience within the last 5 years performing the Pay, Personnel Specialist and administrative functions described in section 4 in support of the U.S. Navy or other DoD agency equivalent.
  • Have experience working with Navy Correspondence and administrative reports, to include performance reports.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within the last 10 years in operating Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other related programs.
  • Be able to operate a Personal Computer (PC) with common/standard business software programs. This includes but is not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Be able to obtain access to required personnel service systems, to include but not limited to, Enhanced Unit Commander's Financial Report (EUCFR), Master Military Pay Account (MMPA), Sales Force, Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS), Fleet Training Management and Familiarization with Planning System (FLTMPS), Bureau of Personnel (BUPERS) Online or BOL, and My Navy HR Website.
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with others, both verbally and in writing.
  • Possess excellent work ethics, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have experience with Federal Government systems and requirements for maintaining access to these systems.
  • Be Able to work in an environment that is fast paced, completing multiple tasks, efficiently, safely while meeting stringent timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Use Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and applications identified in the Command Pay and Personnel Administrator (CPPA) Toolbox to provide Sailor Pay and Personnel Support.
  • Maintain familiarization with Pay, Personnel, and Travel (PAYPERS) policy references. Use resources provided on the My Navy Career Center (MNCC) "CPPA Resources" webpages.
  • Attend all scheduled CPPA training provided by the Transaction Service Center (TSC) or Regional Support Center (RSC). If unable to attend, arrange to receive information via alternate means.
  • Carefully review documents and information as they are routed between the Sailor and supporting TSC or RSC to ensure forms are properly completed, required documentation and attachments are provided, and information appears to be sufficient to resolve the transaction in a timely manner.
  • In every action, always protect the Sailor's Personally Identifiable Information (PII). If at any time PII is compromised, report the spillage as soon as it is discovered. When necessary, request assistance from your command Personnel admin Officer and Command Career Counselor.
  • Enter data into multiple databases accurately.
  • Produce clear and concise reports and correspondence in prescribed formats. Be able to write correspondence in a military format, when necessary.
