The Bus Monitor is responsible for the safety and supervision of children during transportation. This includes maintaining attendance records, conducting health observations, managing child medications, ensuring children are properly secured, assisting the Bus Driver during emergencies, and maintaining a sanitary vehicle. The Bus Monitor also acts as a liaison between parents and center staff, provides child engagement activities, and ensures children are released to authorized individuals. Additionally, the role may involve providing classroom support, interpretation services, assisting with center duties during staff absences, cleaning and maintenance, transporting children and parents for various activities, participating in specialized training for children with disabilities, assisting with recruitment, and providing support to other locations. The position requires participation in staff meetings and trainings, and performing other assigned duties.
