The Social Media Specialist is responsible for shaping and strengthening the organization’s global brand by helping to execute a differentiated social media program for Baker Hughes. This role involves building and executing a detailed global social media strategy that highlights Baker Hughes’ role in the energy transition and positions the company competitively. The specialist will develop compelling and differentiated social content, execute paid and organic social media opportunities, and support strategic business priorities. The role also involves collaborating across the enterprise to support business priorities, strategically plan campaigns, participate in social ecosystem audits, maturity assessments, and channel consolidation projects, and contribute to social media training for the brand, marketing, and external communications (BMEC) teams. The specialist will create platform-native content, translate campaign and thought leadership content into engaging narratives, and liaise with the Creative Content team to ensure brand-representative content. Collaboration within the BMEC team and across the company is crucial to ensure the digital strategy incorporates region- and segment-specific situations and challenges, aiming for a holistic digital plan that builds brand awareness and reputation globally. The role also requires incorporating the digital strategy and narrative into ongoing work related to the Six Strategic Priorities.
