About The Position
The Automotive Title Clerk performs a wide range of administrative and office support duties associated with vehicle documentation, such as titles, registrations, license plates, and other vehicle or owner information.
Requirements
- At least TWO YEARS of experience in automotive dealership accounting and titling
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment
- Capable of handling multiple projects
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong administrative, organizational, and computer skills
Responsibilities
- Process all new and/or used vehicle registrations in the state in which they will be titled
- Prepare tax and title documents
- Verify that funds have been collected before processing title applications
- Process paperwork in a timely manner
- Maintain a complete list of all outstanding title work
- Stay abreast of county and state title regulation requirements
- Submit all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles
- Understand the importance of deadlines and the sense of urgency to complete tasks
- Assist customers with any questions regarding their registration and titling
- Performs other duties as assigned
