About The Position

Requirements

• No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the same occupation.
• Experience working with body components, doors and frames, frame straightening, front-end components, interior components, metal cutting, and under-body components.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Perform tasks involving bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Demonstrate accuracy, dependability, reliability, judgment.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• Team player.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must have own tools and steel-toed safety boots.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Auto Body Repairer Trade Certification.

Responsibilities

• Estimate repair cost based on damage examination report
• Inspect repaired vehicles
• Plan repair work to be performed
• Professionalism in customer service
• Clean and maintain work space
• Replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and under-body components
• File, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired
• Hammer out dents, buckles and defects using blocks and hammers
• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
• Repair or replace interior components
• Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields and sunroofs
• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
• Straighten bent frames using frame and under-body pulling and anchoring equipment
