About The Position

This position is revenue-producing, responsible for driving and managing key revenue streams, with a focus on sponsorships and donations from individuals, businesses, and corporations, supporting the needs of intercollegiate athletics and the individual sports programs. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of prospects and donors and design a successful cultivation and solicitation strategy. Revenue produced annually from sponsorships and donations for the Office of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation should exceed $400,000 in cash and trade items, including managing and organizing annual events, such as the CSN Golf Tournament, to yield additional funding support. The position will serve as a member of the Athletic Department’s Senior Staff and Leadership Team and develop strategies to effectively utilize the Director of Athletics, the Foundation, and College leadership on cultivation and solicitation calls and ensure effective use of the Athletic Director’s time spent on development. This position reports to the Director of Athletics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 years in fundraising/large events and/or developing contributors in Las Vegas.
  • Proficiency in use of a personal computer and current software applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to make decisions and take actions independently for a variety of diverse situations.
  • High degree of creativity and initiative.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years or more experience with local Las Vegas community leaders with access to decision makers that give and donate.
  • Familiar with Las Vegas events, philanthropic giving, and corporate giving.
  • Knowledge of Local communities and businesses.
  • Extensive knowledge of large event management and production.
  • Extensive knowledge of local donors.
  • Extensive knowledge of local businesses.
  • Experience with Give Lively.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
