About The Position

Fast-paced, high-volume clinic looking for a top skilled Certified Medical Assistant. This role delivers care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process. Key functions include patient check out, surgery scheduling, and post-operative calls. The position also involves communicating with patients regarding test results and plan of care as directed by a physician. The Certified Medical Assistant will ensure patient safety and protect patient privacy rights. There may be opportunities to work in the front office as needed, and perform other duties as assigned by the practice manager, more senior staff, or healthcare provider(s). Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
  • CMA - Current Medical Assistant Certification (REQUIRED)

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of CMA experience (PREFERRED)
  • Willing to work primarily as a Phlebotomoist (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
  • ACLS or BCLS upon hire (STRONGLY PREFERRED)

Responsibilities

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process
  • Conducts patient check out, surgery scheduling and post operative calls as primary function of position
  • Communicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician
  • Provides for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights
  • May work in the front office as needed
  • May perform other duties as assigned by practice manager, more senior staff, or as requested by healthcare provider(s)
