About The Position

John Young Parkway Animal Hospital is a 3-doctor progressive veterinary clinic providing excellent care to pets in the greater Orlando, FL area. We are proud to be an AAHA accredited animal hospital! We offer services including: pet examinations and wellness visits, vaccinations, routine check-ups, surgeries, dentistry, pet grooming and boarding!

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-year experience preferred
  • Compassionate
  • Calm

  • Multi-Tasker
  • Strong Communicator
  • Must be able to properly restrain pets
  • Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in sample collection
  • Obtaining medical histories
  • Processing laboratory tests and radiographs
  • Anesthesia monitoring

Responsibilities

  • Pet restraint
  • Triage incoming patients
  • Collection and analysis of lab samples
  • Diagnostic imaging
  • Management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability
  • Administration of medications
  • Effective communication of treatment plans with clients
  • Surgical preparation and assistance
  • Anesthetic management
