As a Armed Security Shipyard Patrol Officer in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a dynamic aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while upholding access protocols and site procedures. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, and control entry and exit in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
