UTMB’s Office of Institutional Compliance plays a vital role in ensuring that the institution operates with integrity, transparency, and adherence to federal and regulatory standards. This team partners closely with faculty, leadership, and departments across the institution to support conflict of interest management, adherence to ethical principles, compliance with research security and undue foreign influence requirements, and institutional regulatory oversight in support of the institution’s mission. The primary purpose of the Senior Compliance Analyst for Conflicts of Interest is (1) to serve as a subject matter expert on state, federal, and institutional regulations and policies related to Conflicts of Interest (COI), ethics, Research Security, Undue Foreign Influence, and Research Compliance; (2) to assist the Associate Vice President, Office of Institutional Compliance, in providing the strategic vision for the institution’s COI, Ethics, and Research Compliance program; and (3) to serve as an institutional key resource for COI and compliance-related analysis, review, and guidance. The Senior Compliance Analyst for Conflicts of Interest position offers the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative and detail-oriented environment while serving as a primary point of contact for compliance-related questions and information. Success in this position requires strong analytical and organizational skills, the ability to work autonomously, and a deep understanding of regulatory compliance processes. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while serving as a reliable source of guidance and problem-solving.
