About The Position

Serves as liaison between staff and other areas within the facility and acts as an advisor to other disciplines. Assesses needs for personnel, supplies, equipment, and physical facilities for budget planning. Participates in clinical conferences, workshops, seminars, and related forums. Responds to and refers patient-related phone calls within a two-hour period, and calls in prescriptions as ordered by the physician within 30 minutes. Other duties as assigned. Supervises and participates in the provision of general nursing care activities. Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work. Develops, implements, and evaluates assigned tasks and objectives for different areas. Selects and assigns staff, ensuring equal employment opportunity in hiring and promotion. Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees. Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques. Identifies staff development and training needs and ensures that training is obtained. Conducts assessments of patient needs and initiates nursing care plans.

Requirements

  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Must be willing to float to other practices, within reason, when patient load, vacation schedules etc. make it necessary.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements.
  • Associate's of Nursing
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)

  • Bachelor's of Nursing
  • 2+ professional nursing experience, physician office
