About The Position

Within the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care in the Allergy Service. The role protects and promotes wellness, optimizes health, triages patients, treats human responses to illness, partners with patients and their families, documents interventions and individualized care plans, educates patients about disease processes and preventative care, and assures continuity of care.

The Allergy Service’s main clinic is at the Clinic and Specialty Center in downtown Minneapolis. The position may require travel among metro clinics in North Loop, Richfield, and Golden Valley, as well as future expansion allergy clinics. A valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle are required.

This is a 1.0 FTE position comprising 80 hours per pay period and 10 eight-hour day shifts per pay period. Weekend rotation and call are not applicable.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Possession of a valid Registered Nurse license issued by the State of Minnesota.
• One year of Allergy/Asthma clinical outpatient experience.
• Valid driver’s license and availability of an insured vehicle.

Nice To Haves

• Allergy shot lab experience.
• Certification in an area of clinical specialty.
• Bachelor of Nursing degree (BSN) preferred; advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
