About The Position

The Surgery Center of Bluffton is hiring a Registered Nurse with Operating Room scrubbing experience for a flexible role supporting surgical department operations. The position is currently scheduled three weekdays per week for several hours per day. It is a part-time buffer-shift schedule, with potential for growth as departmental needs evolve. Work is on weekdays only, with no weekends or holidays.

The nurse will provide coverage and operational support throughout the department, including lunch coverage for clinical staff, OR room turnover, supply organization, and additional staffing when team members call out. The role may float between the OR and other clinical areas as appropriate.

Requirements

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Operating Room experience and the ability to scrub are required.
• Flexible, reliable, and willing to help wherever needed.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Positive attitude and commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.

Nice To Haves

• Pre-op and/or PACU experience is strongly preferred; candidates willing to be trained in these areas will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide lunch coverage for clinical staff throughout the department.
• Assist with OR room turnover, including cleaning and preparing rooms for the next case.
• Maintain supply organization by stocking supplies, putting away deliveries, and checking expiration dates.
• Support the daily operations and workflow of the surgical team.
• Provide additional staffing support when team members call out, including covering shifts as needed.
• Float between the OR and other clinical areas as appropriate to support departmental needs.
