About The Position

Care Initiatives is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment. This full-time position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with no weekends. The role supports daily unit clinical operations, resident safety, and high-quality care while working with residents, families, and an interdisciplinary team. Requirements

• Hold a valid RN license in good standing, valid in Iowa or with the ability to activate it.
• Hold current, valid CPR certification.
• Have knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to helping others and consistently treat people with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
