About The Position

Care Initiatives is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate care to residents in a skilled nursing environment at one of its more than 40 skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa. The role offers full-time and part-time schedules, with three-day weekly shifts from either 2 PM to 2 AM or 10 AM to 10 PM, and no weekends. Compensation includes competitive wages and shift differentials.

Requirements

• Valid RN license in good standing, valid in Iowa or able to be activated in Iowa.
• Current, valid CPR certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Commitment to helping others and treating them with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit while promoting quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor residents’ conditions and promptly respond to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Communicate with residents and families about care needs.
• Document care accurately in accordance with clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection-control, safety, and compliance protocols.
