About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business management or administration, engineering, facilities management, construction management, aviation management, or a related field, subject to the stated education and experience substitutions.
• Five years of experience managing maintenance, facilities, infrastructure, aviation management, or technical operations in a large, complex environment, including supervision of subordinate supervisors.
• A valid driver’s license at the time of application; licenses and certifications must remain current as a condition of employment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Customs and Border Protection Seal.
• Ability to obtain and maintain airfield driving privileges.
• Ability to obtain CPR certification within the first 90 days of employment.
• Ability to pass and maintain the required FBI criminal background clearance.
• Experience leading teams, programs, or operational functions in complex service environments; the posting notes successful candidates often bring at least five years of such experience.
• Experience leading operational programs, service contracts, or business functions, including work planning, performance metrics, outcome evaluation, and resource alignment.
• Experience managing contracts, vendors, or service providers, monitoring performance and compliance, analyzing results, and improving service delivery.
• Financial, operational, and analytical skills, including budget management and performance-data analysis.
• Experience building collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, business partners, governmental agencies, and regulatory organizations.
• Ability to navigate complex operational environments, balance competing priorities, and meet service, compliance, and performance expectations.
• Education and experience equivalency: two years of appropriate experience may substitute for each required year of post-high-school education; additional appropriate education may substitute for minimum experience requirements.
• Applicants must have valid U.S. work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in airports, transportation systems, large public facilities, or similarly complex environments is beneficial but not required.
• Knowledge or experience in compliance, contract administration, performance management, facilities management, airport operations, or related operational service functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop staff responsible for contract administration, compliance, and program oversight.
• Set expectations and provide guidance and mentorship while fostering accountability, collaboration, customer service, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Lead Airport Services programs and contract portfolios in alignment with operational needs, strategic objectives, and airport priorities.
• Establish goals, performance expectations, budgets, schedules, and operational plans supporting division and airport-wide initiatives.
• Analyze operational performance, identify improvement opportunities, and advise senior leadership on priorities, risks, and resource needs.
• Drive initiatives to improve service delivery, operational effectiveness, and customer experience.
• Oversee service contract administration and performance to ensure contractors meet operational, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain compliance programs, policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Assess contractor performance through inspections, audits, performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools.
• Review contractor proposals, support procurement activities, negotiate service expectations, and implement strategies to improve contract outcomes.
• Build and maintain relationships with airport stakeholders, including airlines, concessionaires, contractors, federal agencies, community partners, and internal divisions.
• Serve as a primary liaison for contract administration, compliance, and operational service matters.
• Collaborate across DEN to align program outcomes with organizational goals and support operational partnerships.
• Manage budgets, expenditures, and resources for Airport Services programs and contracts.
• Analyze financial, operational, and performance data to inform decisions, optimize service delivery, and improve resource use.
• Develop reporting tools, performance measures, and business insights to support accountability and strategic decision-making.
• Steward public resources while maintaining service, compliance, and performance expectations.
• Obtain CPR certification within the first 90 days of employment.
• Work extended hours or shifts during weather events or emergency situations when required.
