About The Position

That's WEIS! Location Address: 1000 S. 2nd Street Job Description: This position is on-site at our Store Support Center in Sunbury, Pennsylvania with potential for a hybrid work schedule. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or Business, plus one (1) year of accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for preparing journal entries and reconciliations for approval by the Accounting Manager.
- Prepare internal and/or external reporting to support business owners to ensure appropriate financial statement disclosure.
- Assist Management with system implementations and testing.
- Prepare analysis for Management and external auditors for quarterly and Annual analytical reviews.
- Keep position procedure documentation up to date.
- Communicate with vendors and internal associates to answer questions and resolve issues, including reconciliation and auditing of company records.
- Investigate and analyze discrepancies and recommend issue resolution. Escalates as needed.
- Prepare and run various daily, weekly and monthly reports; sort and distribute for use as necessary.
- Assist with Company projects as assigned.
- Expected to cross-train in multiple department positions.
- Develop reporting for internal or external use as needed.
