Project Manager (Contingent)

We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager to join our team at Team CATHEXIS. The Project Manager will primarily support the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and other government agencies, including the Veterans Affairs (VA). Responsibilities include overseeing contract tasks, maintaining project deliverables, working with clients and subcontractors, assessing employee performance, reviewing budget reports, and preparing status reports. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 4 years' experience, a background in managing IT or technical projects, and experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Strong communication skills, the ability to adapt to changing requirements, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are also required.

• Serve as project manager overseeing contract tasks such as:
• Maintain project deliverables to be within scope, cost, and schedule
• Work with client and consulting leadership team to execute program activities and develop team
• Work with subcontractors to provide general and technical support services to the team
• Assess employee performance and mentor project team
• Review contractor and vendor invoices
• Review and update budget forecast reports
• Prepare contract monthly status reports
• Assist with proposal writing, level of effort needed for cost estimates
• Control updates to Work Breakdown Schedule (WBS)
• Control communication and correspondence with internal and external stakeholders
• Attend weekly meetings with clients and subject matter experts
• Develop Weekly, Quarterly, Mid-Year, and End-of-Year Status and Performance Reports
• Lead weekly team meetings to discuss the status of contract and deliverables
• Interview job applicants to ensure that candidates are qualified
• Establish rapport between the client and contracting organization to build trust
• Minimum Bachelor’s (BS/BA) Degree
• Minimum 4 years’ experience
• Background/Experience managing IT or technical projects
• Experience managing complex projects with multiple task areas
• Experience managing multiple teams/projects
• Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative data analysis
• Experience with DoD/VA Contracting a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
• Proven track record of engaging with diversified senior level clientele
• Able to obtain a Secret Clearance
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to interact professionally and gracefully with the client team consisting of varied leadership and management styles
• Quickly adapts to changing requirements and ad hoc client needs
• Strong facilitation skills

• Government contracting experience
• A strong desire to lead and grow within an organization
• Ability to lead and organize Agile project teams
• Scrum management (Scrum Master certification preferred)
• Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Secret Clearance
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) in Project Management Body of Knowledge with certification through the Project Management Institute (PMI) - Should be on path to obtain PMP
