About the position
We are seeking a dynamic Graphic Design Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for creating and revising professional-grade graphics and prototypes in a collaborative virtual team environment. The role involves converting curricular materials into polished, external-facing print and soft-copy versions using Adobe InDesign, as well as creating or improving PowerPoint slides and other graphical elements. The successful candidate should have experience producing 508-compliant products and a passion for mission-driven work. This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented role that requires strong graphic design and development skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop graphics prototypes for curricular and supporting materials including stylescapes, template slides, master slides, and ancillary graphics
- Use Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop to produce professional, 508 compliant training materials, including but not limited to infographics, one-pagers, classroom activities, and instructor/facilitator guides and participant guides for in-person, virtual, and eLearning content based on provided source material
- Utilize client and internal feedback to quickly create and revise graphics deliverables
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of graphics asset libraries
- Coordinate with managers to create training sessions to cross-train other team members and outside teams in PowerPoint and other graphic design best practices
- Support products for other workstreams, as required
- Ensure alignment of style, branding, and other graphical norms across multiple curricular products and modalities for a consistent product suite
- Apply adult learning principles to the design and development of all curricular graphics within the ADDIE model of instructional design
- Proactively track and communicate project status with supervisor, including potential mitigation strategies for when risks jeopardize deliverable timelines
- Deliver all final deliverables and intermediate drafts on time
Requirements
- Actively and knowledgeably engage with peers and internal leadership on relevant products within curricular assignments
- Mastery of converting curricular drafts to polished, 508-compliant Adobe InDesign print and/or soft-copy documents
- Situational awareness of CATHEXIS' development workflows and processes to meet deliverable deadlines with acceptable quality standards
- Consistently and efficiently utilize project management tools such as Asana and SharePoint
- Follow all team procedures for naming conventions and file retention
