About the position
DonorsChoose is seeking a data-driven Product Manager to enhance their product experience. This role involves collaborating with various teams to prioritize features, drive product development, and deliver an exceptional experience for teachers and donors. The ideal candidate should possess strong data analysis skills, be capable of managing relationships with stakeholders, and contribute to strategy and prioritization. Additionally, the Product Manager should have experience in web and mobile product management, proficiency in data analysis tools, and a passion for education and social good.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and UX researchers to scope, build, and launch new features and product improvements.
- Analyze data to monitor site health, feature success, and A/B tests to ensure business goals are met.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders and advocate for their needs in the product.
- Help inform strategy and prioritization with the product leadership team.
- Define product requirements and manage project implementation.
- Retrieve, aggregate, and analyze data from multiple sources to draw meaningful conclusions that tie back to business or product goals.
- Use analytics tools such as Looker, Tableau, etc.
- Familiarity with web analytics and event data (Heap, Google Analytics, or equivalent).
- Have a strong bias towards action and be confident in making tough calls.
- Comfortable in ambiguity and able to experiment and take risks to find clarity.
- Tech-savvy and able to have detailed conversations with developers and quickly learn new tools.
- Ability to simplify complexity and lead the team towards efficient solutions.
- Organized, efficient, and able to prioritize and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent self-management skills and ability to work independently.
- Passion for education, equity, or social good.
- Strong beliefs loosely held, advocating for your point of view while being open to having your mind changed.
Requirements
- 3+ years of web & mobile product management (or equivalent) experience
- Strong data analysis skills and ability to draw meaningful conclusions from data
- Experience with analytics tools such as Looker, Tableau, etc
- Familiarity with web analytics and event data (Heap, Google Analytics, or equivalent)
- Bias towards action and ability to make tough decisions
- Comfort in ambiguity and willingness to experiment and take risks
- Tech-savviness and ability to quickly learn new tools
- Ability to simplify complexity and lead the team towards solutions

- Competitive compensation with a salary range of $90,000 - $108,000 (or $100,000 - $120,000 for higher cost of labor locations)
