About the position
The job overview for the ColorPop Books Growth Marketing Manager position is to drive grassroots marketing and customer acquisition, define and execute marketing opportunities to generate brand awareness and acquire new customers, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, drive data analysis and conversion metrics, and report findings to different audiences within the organization to drive alignment on key decisions. The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about equitable access to quality education, comfortable engaging in conversations about race and equity, resourceful and adaptable, experienced in building relationships, and organized and reflective.
Responsibilities
- Drive grassroots marketing and customer acquisition
- Identify hypotheses for driving sales and attracting parents who want to affirm their kids' identities through books and build empathy
- Define marketing opportunities to test these hypotheses and execute each opportunity
- Work with the Product Owner and Marketing Lead to develop a strategy across marketing channels
- Conduct data analyses and track conversion metrics
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and industry influencers
- Report findings to different audiences within the organization and align on key decisions
Requirements
- Passionate about equitable access to quality education and uplift marginalized voices and perspectives
- Willingness and ability to engage in conversations about race, representation, and equity
- Scrappy and resourceful, able to achieve goals with limited resources
- Experience in early-stage startups or launching new brands
- Strong relationship-building skills with key stakeholders
- Organized, thorough, and reflective with strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
- 6+ years of marketing experience with a focus on new customer acquisition and/or consumer product marketing
- Experience in grassroots marketing efforts for new brands
- Bonus points for experience in marketing children's products, marketing to parents, and/or marketing to audiences of color

- Competitive compensation with a salary range of $84,000 - $99,000 (higher range for specific locations)
