About the position
The job overview for this role is to work as an Inside Sales Representative at Gusto, a modern online people platform for small businesses. The main responsibility is to help small business customers choose Gusto by providing advisory sales skills and matching their specific business needs with the platform's offerings. This involves interacting with customers through email, chat, and live phone interactions, as well as supporting them through the onboarding process. The role requires a commitment to customer empathy, ethical business practices, and achieving sales goals.
Responsibilities
- Answer live inbound calls and chats, and engage in email communication with customers at different points in the sales process
- Support customers through the process of onboarding
- Aid customers in selecting Gusto via the Sandler Selling System
- Develop customer empathy and product expertise
- Exercise and master advisory selling of solutions for small businesses
- Participate in community and career development opportunities at Gusto
- Minimum of 1 year previous experience working in a high volume sales or customer service environment where you were cross selling, up-selling, or maintaining a quota / KPIs
- Desire to pursue a career in sales long term
- A commitment to customer empathy and ethical business practices
