About the position
The job overview for this position is that Gusto is seeking a Channel Sales Account Executive to join their growing Channel Sales team. The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in achieving new-business and growing a current book of business. They should possess strong sales drive and a customer-service mentality to build and maintain relationships with accounting partners, onboard new accountants, and win new business. This role requires managing a high volume book of business, delivering product demos, and contributing to the sales pipeline. Previous experience in sales and managing a book of business is required.
Responsibilities
- Engage and ramp relationships with existing accounting partners through a high velocity consultative sales process
- Manage a high volume book of business and build strong, long-lasting relationships with accounting partners
- Manage accounting partners after the first 90 days of their joining the partner program
- Keep accounting partners up to date on new product developments and best practices
- Penetrate the partner's firm by convincing additional accountants to join and influencing additional client adds
- Win new business in competitive sales against the industry's incumbent players
- Construct, forecast, and manage sales pipeline to meet company goals
- Leverage People Advisory and Certification to deepen strategic partnerships
- Deliver comprehensive product demos and answer technical inquiries
- Contribute accurate records and notes to a team-wide CRM
- 5+ years of professional experience in a sales role
- 3+ years of experience managing a book of business and carrying a quota
- Previous experience selling subscription-based software
Requirements
- Physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City
- Expectation of working from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week
- Physical office in Scottsdale for Symmetry roles

- Sales professionals with a track record of success in achieving new-business and growing a current book of business
- Driven, organized, and display a natural ability to build rapport and trust
- Ability to work with accounting firms to onboard their entire book of business
- Understanding of accountant partner's needs and the needs of their clients
- Ability to manage ongoing relationships with accountants and add new accountants to the book of business
