About the position
As the Director of Sales at Tropic, you will lead a team of Account Executives to expand the customer base among fast-growing tech companies. Your responsibilities will include recruiting and developing a high-performing sales team, collaborating with sales leadership to build a world-class organization, and providing leadership support on late-stage sales calls. You will report directly to the Head of Sales and have the autonomy to develop your team as you see fit. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, 2+ years in a management or team lead role, and excellent leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, and train the best Account Executives
- Develop the team to close deals consistently and go the extra mile
- Provide leadership support on late-stage sales calls
- Collaborate with Sales Development, Sales Ops, and Enablement teams
- Provide regular business updates to internal stakeholders
Requirements
- 4+ years B2B SaaS sales experience with demonstrable success
- 2+ years in management or team lead capacity
- Experience at high-growth, venture-backed startup
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
- Team player who is coachable, collaborative, thoughtful, resourceful, and must have a genuine curiosity to solve problems and execute
