About the position
As the Director of Sales at Tropic, you will lead a team of Account Executives to expand the customer base among fast-growing tech companies. Your responsibilities will include recruiting and training top talent, developing your team to close deals effectively, and providing leadership support during sales calls. Collaborating with other sales teams and advising on sales strategies will also be part of your role. With a minimum annual salary of $156,000, this position offers a remote-first work environment and the opportunity to be part of a high-growth, venture-backed startup.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, and train Account Executives
- Develop and mentor the sales team
- Provide leadership and support on late-stage sales calls
- Collaborate with Sales Development, Sales Ops, and Enablement teams
- Provide regular business updates to internal stakeholders
- Have 4+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience with demonstrable success
- Have 2+ years of management or team lead capacity
- Have experience at high-growth, venture-backed startup
- Possess excellent leadership and communication skills
- Have strong cross-functional collaboration skills
- Be a team player who is coachable, collaborative, thoughtful, resourceful, and curious to solve problems and execute
