About the position

The job overview for the Business Development Representative (ANZ) role is to act as a liaison between the Marketing and Sales teams, with the goal of developing new business opportunities by contacting and building relationships with potential customers. The successful candidate should have previous experience in lead development from marketing campaigns and possess strong communication skills to establish relationships with future customers. The role involves qualifying leads, contacting potential clients, identifying client needs, setting up meetings with Account Executives, and presenting the company to potential clients. The Business Development Representative will also proactively seek new business opportunities and stay updated with new products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns and develop them into sales opportunities
  • Contact potential clients through phone calls and emails
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives
  • Present our company to potential clients
  • Engage with potential clients at industry-leading events
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Stay up to date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration or similar
  • Previous professional experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Development Representative or another relevant outbound sales role
  • Hands-on experience with regards to utilising multiple sales techniques
  • A strong track record of successfully engaging with prospects
  • Experience with Marketing Automation and CRM software tools e.g. Hubspot and Salesforce
