About the position
The job overview for this role is to work as part of the Special Delivery team at commercetools, a fast-growing SaaS software company in digital commerce. Responsibilities
- Introduce new value-adding technologies to colleagues
- Coordinate and resolve incidents as part of a response team
- Author well-tested, clean code to meet project requirements
- Use SLOs (Service Level Objectives) to stay focused on current work and maintain the quality of delivered services
- Collaborate on team and organization level RFCs to improve processes and architectures
- Embrace feedback culture, fostering growth by providing constructive feedback and defining/reaching your goals in an inclusive and supportive setting
- Familiarity in driving architectural discussions and initiatives across teams
- Experience providing high-quality code reviews to peers and junior engineers, both on and off the team, for development efforts critical to the team
- Experience running production workloads in a major cloud provider (AWS or GCP)
- Experience using IaC tooling (Terraform or Kubernetes)
- Comfortable writing automation tooling in Golang
- Strong time management skills
- Written and spoken English communication skills
Requirements
- 3+ years of SRE experience
