The job overview for the Business Development Representative (BDR) role at InsightRX is a two-year program that leads to a longer-term position as an Associate Sales Director in either the health systems or lifescience vertical. In Phase 1, the BDR will learn about the healthcare system, lifescience industry, and gain a deep understanding of SaaS technology and the overall business model. The primary focus of this role is to generate sales demand and pipeline revenue through outbound prospecting. In Phase 2, the BDR will transition to the role of Associate Sales Director, taking on territory responsibility and managing the full deal cycle. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with sales experience or those new to the function, offering a pathway to direct sales in the intersection of science and technology.
Responsibilities
- Generate and qualify new leads and opportunities via high-volume cold calling / email outreach
- Research and develop strategies for breaking into assigned accounts
- Collaborate on campaigns to drive new business and market awareness
- Work with a sales team in the selected vertical to manage the full deal cycle
Requirements
- Must have sales experience or a strong interest in sales
- Familiarity with the healthcare system and lifescience industry
- Understanding of SaaS technology and business models
- Ability to generate sales demand and pipeline revenue through outbound prospecting
- Strong research and strategic development skills
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work on campaigns to drive new business and market awareness
- Willingness to engage in high-volume cold calling and email outreach
