The job overview for the role of Business Development Representative (BDR) at InsightRX is a two-year program that leads to a longer-term role as Associate Sales Director in the health systems or lifescience vertical. In Phase 1, the BDR will learn about the healthcare system, lifescience industry, and gain a deep understanding of SaaS technology and the overall business model. The primary focus of this role is generating sales demand and pipeline revenue through outbound prospecting. In Phase 2, the BDR will transition to the role of Associate Sales Director, taking on territory responsibility and managing the full deal cycle. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with sales experience or those new to the function, offering a pathway to direct sales at the intersection of science and technology.
Responsibilities
- Generate and qualify new leads and opportunities through high-volume cold calling and email outreach
- Research and develop strategies for lead generation and prospecting
- Gain a deep understanding of the healthcare system and lifescience industry
- Learn about SaaS technology and the overall business model of InsightRX
- Generate sales demand and pipeline revenue through outbound prospecting
- Transition to the role of Associate Sales Director (ASD) and align with a sales team in the selected vertical
- Have territory responsibility and manage the full deal cycle
- Provide real-time insights to clinicians that drive treatment decisions
- Facilitate the shift from 'one-size-fits-all' dosing approaches to data-driven, individualized dosing strategies

Requirements
- Must have a deep understanding of SaaS technology and the overall business model
- Strong sales skills and experience in generating sales demand and pipeline revenue through outbound prospecting
- Ability to research and develop strategies for generating and qualifying new leads and opportunities
- Excellent cold calling and email outreach skills
- Ability to manage the full deal cycle and have territory responsibility
- Sales experience in the healthcare system or lifescience industry is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
