Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in receiving, inventory control, or yard coordination within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and documentation.
• Proficiency in using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Attention to detail is critical when inspecting shipments and updating inventory records to prevent errors that could disrupt production.
• Knowledge of safety protocols ensures that yard operations comply with regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all personnel.

• Experience with bulk material handling and yard management software.
• Forklift certification or experience operating yard equipment.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the receipt of bulk materials, verifying shipment contents against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Inspect incoming materials for quality and quantity compliance, reporting any damages or discrepancies to relevant stakeholders.
• Manage yard space allocation to ensure organized storage and easy retrieval of bulk materials.
• Schedule and communicate with transportation providers to optimize delivery times and reduce yard congestion.
• Maintain accurate records of all bulk receiving activities, including documentation, inventory updates, and reporting.
• Collaborate with production, warehouse, and procurement teams to align receiving schedules with manufacturing needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all yard operations.
• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance receiving processes and yard management efficiency.
