About The Position

Planet Aid collects and recycles used textiles to protect the environment and support sustainable development in communities around the world. We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Bin Maintenance Tech II to support the repair, refurbishment, and upkeep of our steel donation bins, clothes carts, and warehouse-related equipment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with tools, painting, and general mechanical repairs while helping keep operations running safely and efficiently.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous welding experience required
- Basic Welding Experience
Nice To Haves
- Painting experience preferred
- Experience in facilities maintenance or property management strongly preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Repair and refurbish steel donation bins and receiving carts
- Perform sanding, grinding, painting, labeling, and decal application on collection bins
- Use welding equipment and general mechanical tools to complete repairs and maintenance tasks
- Retrieve donation bins requiring refurbishment and ensure they are fully emptied before repairs
- Load and unload bins from trucks using a forklift
- Assist with maintenance involving wood, metal, and polymer materials
- Support warehouse operations including cleaning, sweeping, and organization
- Operate the bin scale system during truck unloading
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Assist with additional warehouse and operational duties as needed
