About The Position
Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, involved in civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction. This is a full-time, permanent position with a schedule of 10+ hours per day, 5 & 2, with overtime after 8 hours per day or 44 hours per week. The role is located at 9175 – 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB. Sureway is a Repair Facility, not a component exchange shop, providing technicians with a sense of ownership. The company adheres to employment equity and equal opportunity programs.
Requirements
- Full Complement of Hand Tools
- Personal Reliable Vehicle
- CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be a 3rd year or Journeyperson HET – Truck and Transport (or 4th year HET)
- Engine Rebuild and Performance Software Experience is Required
- Ability to read/troubleshoot and diagnose using hydraulic and electronic schematics
- Exceptional organization and cleanliness skills are REQUIRED
Nice To Haves
- CVIP Certification is Beneficial
- Power Train Experience is Beneficial
- Experience with Electronics and Emissions is Beneficial
Responsibilities
- Ensure equipment is maintained at the highest standards, in a timely manner
- Conduct performance and quality checks according to procedure
- Perform preventative maintenance, repair, and overhauls
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture
