About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in maintenance, preferably in a hotel or similar hospitality setting.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general maintenance tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Availability for flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Comfort working in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
• Climbing ladders and working at heights may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure their proper functioning.
• Diagnose and repair equipment and systems such as lighting, plumbing fixtures, appliances, and HVAC units to resolve issues promptly.
• Conduct regular safety inspections to identify and address potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Respond to guest requests and resolve maintenance issues in guest rooms, public areas, and common facilities with courtesy and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inventory.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are well-maintained, calibrated, and in good working condition.
• Communicate with suppliers and vendors for equipment servicing and parts procurement as necessary.
• Identify opportunities for energy-saving measures and recommend improvements to reduce utility costs.
• Collaborate with other hotel staff, including housekeeping, front desk, and management, to provide a seamless guest experience.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and environmental regulations.
