About The Position

This role involves building, wiring, assembling, and installing electrical controls for machines and tooling systems. As a Level II, responsibilities extend to basic programming of HMI and PLC, while Level III handles more complex tasks. Requirements

  • Level I: 0-2 years of relevant work experience required.
  • Level II: 2-4 years of relevant work experience required.
  • Level III: 4-6 years of relevant work experience required.
  • High school or GED required.
  • 2 Year / associate degree in Electromechanical Technology, Automation Engineering Technology, or a related field of study or equivalent years of job experience required (Level II & III).
  • AutoCAD or Drafting software (Level II & III).
  • Basic PLC training (Level II & III).
  • Basic HMI Programming (Level II & III).

Nice To Haves

  • 2 Year / associate degree in Electromechanical Technology, Automation Engineering Technology, or a related field of study preferred (Level I).

Responsibilities

  • Create electrical schematics and electrical cabinet layout using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Build and wire electrical panels.
  • Wire external machine components to electrical cabinet.
  • Develop electrical parts list for the project.
  • Write PLC-HMI program using various software packages (Level II & III).
  • Design low complexity machine guarding strategies that comply with OSHA and ANSI standards (Level II).
  • Design medium complexity machine guarding strategies that comply with OSHA and ANSI standards (Level III).
  • Order parts for projects using Ariba Purchasing system (Level II & III).
  • Power up, troubleshoot, and commission machine to make production ready (Level II & III).
