Requirements

  • Minimum of an associate’s degree in engineering, chemistry, biology or a science field
  • Ability to gather, understand, and interpret chemical, physical and mechanical data
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work as a team member and independently on various assignments
  • Knowledgeable in PowerPoint, Word, Lotus Notes, Excel and Statistical
  • Uses good scientific judgment, statistical analysis, root cause identification and robust solution implementation

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, biology or a science field
  • 1 to 3 years of experience working in a chemical laboratory is preferred
  • Polymer thermal, mechanical, rheological, spectroscopic, and microscopy experience along with test and data processing automation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct all laboratory work in a safe manner including the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), adherence to site safety practices, use of laboratory equipment, 5S, and ensuring Safety, Health & Environment compliance
  • Execute lab testing and generate test data, documentation and laboratory reports for projects assigned by Engineers and/or Supervisor
  • Communicate basic observations regarding data and/or experimental outcomes
  • Employ basic problem‑solving skillsets to overcome project bottlenecks and maintain project deliverable dates
  • Program robots and be comfortable with a variety of curing and dispensing equipment
  • May train other technicians regarding equipment operation and/or test procedures
  • Take on equipment ownership and responsibility for maintaining safe operation of the assigned equipment
  • Report laboratory results and methods according to accepted company lab practices; results, reports and observations will be communicated to internal/external customers
