About The Position
The Office Administrator is responsible for providing efficient administrative and operational support to ensure smooth daily office and yard operations. This role involves managing data entry, coordinating schedules, handling customer and internal communications, and supporting management with documentation and reporting. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, customer service excellence, and adherence to health and safety standards are essential to maintaining accurate records, meeting service commitments, and supporting ongoing projects and operations.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience as an Office Administrator.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of PC based systems such as Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to pay attention to details.
- Superior communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and be familiar with the occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Perform data entry and processing of daily paperwork.
- Operate the main switchboard for incoming calls, sort incoming mail, and handle courier packages.
- Serve as the main contact for the Management team in resolving customer inquiries.
- Utilize company software to effectively maintain work schedules for service technicians and assure that customer commitments are met.
- Accept customer phone calls and provide exceptional customer service.
- Perform filing and general maintenance of all office records, update daily records, and complete any other general administrative duties as required.
- Assist with day-to-day operations and month-end closing in the Halton Yard.
- Monitor and track driver productivity.
- Assist in any upcoming work projects, contracts, and/or acquisitions.
