The Surgical Technologist II facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. The schedule for this position is 11pm to 7:30 am, Sunday - Thursday nights, with Friday and Saturday nights off. Requirements

  • Accredited Program: Surgical Technologist (Required)
  • BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision with a positive disposition.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • One (1) year of experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Surgical Technologist certification (CST or TS-C) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Must maintain requirements dictated in clinical ladder.
  • Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
  • Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
  • Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.
  • Passes instruments to physician during surgery.
  • Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.
